Cooking oil is a staple ingredient in every household, this is why it’s important to know the best and worst cooking oils owning to a range of smoke points or temperatures at which point they become unstable, therefore avoid using oils above there temperature and smoke points. 

So lets look at the best and worst 
  1. Olive Oil:  has been the number 1 cooking oil across the globe. This is because the smoke point is 350F, and research has found that olive oil contains heart-healthy compounds making it number 1 choice 
  2. Avocado Oil: has a smoke point of 520F making it great for high heat cooking and frying and can withstand low and high temperature without loosing its nutritional value 
  3. Sesame Oil: has 410F smoke point, another great cooking oil for heart health
Avoid
  1. Sunflower Oil: It becomes unstable when deep frying and high heat cooking, resulting in releasing chemicals which are harmful to the body
  2. Vegetable Oil: Its high in trans fat, and not made from vegetables instead extracted from seeds and chemically treated 

Therefore choosing the right cooking oil is super important, for your overall well being, after all you are using it everyday.
